IF ONLY

I can't escape the pain anymore;
like a sword piercing through my heart.
Yet despite of it he has my heart.
My eyes are open now to the truth,
that I love him more than anyone else;
i love him for the man he wants to be,
for the man he is,
and for the man he almost is.
I love him!
Where can my love for him brings me?
